About Rhodes islandRhodes is almost synonymous with Greek tourism, everyone knows the island. The tourism to Rhodes started early and has since attracted many. That Rhodes is popular is not surprising, this is (almost) everything you could wish for, the beaches are many and several of them are, really good. Rhodes is fully internationalized and a playground for tourists from around the world. The 300 days of sunshine, plenty of entertainment, fine beaches and a historically significant heritage make the island a great place. Better entertainment than in Rhodes is hardly possible to find at any other Greek island range enormously and there is something for everyone. Bars, pubs, discos, nightclubs, bouzouki clubs, Greek tavernas, international restaurants, McDonalds etc. There is even a casino for those wishing to endanger their holiday money.
Rhodes is a big island and of course reflected in the traffic is pretty intense. This is especially true in and around the town of Rhodes and the highway to Lindos. Cars, mopeds and bicycles can be rented almost anywhere.
On a large island like Rhodes, there are obviously lots of villages and it is not possible to describe all this. Like everything else in Rhodes villages are heavily influenced by a half century of tourism.
